Grown with soul, guided by science

OUR STORY

Bella Minas began in 2022, when three partners with decades of experience in agriculture acquired an existing coffee farm in Perdizes, Minas Gerais. They saw more than what the farm was. They saw what it could become.

Together, they began transforming the land through new plantings, modern infrastructure, irrigation, and a fully mechanized production system designed around efficiency, consistency, and respect for the environment.

Building a farm for the future

Pre-transformation

When the partners arrived in 2022, coffee was already growing on parts of the property, but the farm’s next chapter still had to be built.

Existing fields were revitalized, new areas were planted, irrigation was installed and the production system was redesigned for efficient, fully mechanized management.

Today, Bella Minas combines established coffee trees with younger plantings and a long-term commitment to improving quality with every harvest.

Rooted in the Cerrado

Bella Minas is located in Perdizes, Minas Gerais, in Brazil's Cerrado Mineiro, the first Brazilian coffee region to earn Denomination of Origin status, recognized for a soil, climate and growing tradition found nowhere else.

Our farm sits at approximately 1,100m above sea level, on deep, iron-rich red-yellow Latossolo soil, well-drained and naturally suited to the deep root systems Arabica needs to thrive.

The region's well-defined wet and dry seasons, combined with warm days and cool nights, create the diurnal temperature swing that slows cherry maturation and helps build the sweetness and body Cerrado Mineiro coffee is known for. The area's flat, broad terrain also allows the kind of precise, highly mechanized farm management that gives us consistency harvest after harvest.

Altitude, soil and climate come together here to form a singular terroir, one that cannot be replicated elsewhere, and it's what gives each variety we grow the chance to express the true character of this land.

We combine soil analysis, targeted nutrition and drip irrigation to manage the crop according to the needs of each growing cycle.

A fully mechanized production system helps us operate efficiently and consistently from field management through harvest.

Our Varieties

Selected for our land

Bella Minas currently cultivates four Arabica varieties, selected for their agronomic performance, adaptation to local conditions and quality potential.

Each variety responds differently to the land and contributes its own characteristics to the diversity of our harvest.
